Any lesions that are painful or have discharge could be infected so if that is the case, you need to go to your doctor to get an antibiotic.

After you get this under control just making a few easy changes to your cleaning routine can do wonders to keep from getting any recurring bouts of genial acne. You can even try gently exfoliating the affected area. This will help remove dead skin cells. Also, be sure to use a mild cleanser to avoid any unnecessary irritation.
